Was einige schon länger ahnten, zeigt die konservative amerikanische Freikirche „Restored Church of God“ nun schwarz auf weiss auf: Bloggen ist unchristlich!
Let me emphasize that no one—including adults—should have a blog or personal website (unless it is for legitimate business purposes).
Oha, da verstossen wir wohl schon mal gegen die Grundsätze der „Restored Church of Good“. Immerhin versucht die Freikirche auch gleich zu erklären, wieso niemand ein Blog führen oder eine eigene Webseite betreiben soll:
In this time when people exhibit the least amount of character in history, there is more communication than ever before. Much of this is simply blathering on blogs—mindless words and idle communication. Blogs can be summed up as people talking about almost anything, but really nothing. There is no purpose to much of the contents—no direction.
The contents of blogs can often best be described as trash and the expression of shallowness. What is deemed as a higher level of communication is simply a mindless form of entertainment.
Immerhin, einige Blogs sind dann aber doch erlaubt. Allerdings nur, wenn diese von Spezialisten geführt werden. Alle anderen können und sollten ihre Freundschaften besser auf dem „old-fashioned way“ pflegen: Durch persönliche Kontakte, Briefe, eMail oder Instant Messaging:
Is this article saying that every blog in the world is wrong? No, of course not! Again, there are some professionals and specialists who use blogs to serve a proper purpose.
All that said, you can—and SHOULD—maintain friends the “old-fashioned” way, through actual personal contact, as well as letter writing, emailing or instant messaging

Mach das nur. Dann kommunizieren wir halt old-fashioned über instant messaging (müsste ich dann halt noch installieren – so
neumodischesold-fashioned Zeugs hab‘ ich nicht).„Again, there are some professionals and specialists who use blogs to serve a proper purpose.“
Für mich besteht ein „Proper Purpose“ darin, dort einzuhaken wo die „Mainstream Media“ informationen, die für das Wohlsein der Algemeinheit wichtig sind, unterschlagen, weil sie eigene finanzielle oder politische Interessen verfolgen.
Sofern sich die Kirche nicht dem Willen und den Motiven der Politik und Wirtschaft unterordnen will, muss sie das ja auch eingestehen.
Wir kommen alle in die Hölle!
