Der Ping-Service Ping-O-Matic k\u00e4mpft seit Tagen mit Problemen, denn weder die Homepage<\/a> noch der eigentliche Ping-Server<\/a> ist erreichbar. Lediglich das Blog<\/a> ist erreichbar, allerdings stammt der letzte Post vom 30. April 2006.<\/p>\n

Was also ist los? Scheinbar ist der Ausfall bisher auch klanglos an Bloggersdorf vorbeigegangen, denn bisher konnte ich nur zwei Posts („Ping-O-Matic Almost Unpingable<\/a>“ und „Pingomatic offline<\/a>„) zum Ausfall finden, was zumindest deshalb erstaunt, weil Ping-O-Matic standardm\u00e4ssig bei allen WordPress-Installationen eingetragen ist.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr Abhilfe gesorgt habe ich mit der Funktion PingShot von Feedburner<\/a>, welcher nun die wichtigsten Services anpingt. Voraussetzung daf\u00fcr ist nat\u00fcrlich ein Account bei Feedburner. F\u00fcr all diejenigen, die den Service nicht nutzen, gibt es ja diverse andere Ping-Dienste (BlogFlux Pinger<\/a> oder Pingoat<\/a> um nur zwei zu nennen) um f\u00fcr Abhilfe zu sorgen. Und f\u00fcr alle die bis zum Exzess pingen wollen, hat Elliott eine Liste mit 56 Ping-Diensten<\/a> zusammengestellt. Allerdings halte ich es nicht f\u00fcr sinnvoll, all die aufgef\u00fchrten Dienste anzupingen.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
