Bereits vor rund zwei Wochen hat mich Webgreenhorn Christoph<\/a> auf das Feedburner Plugin f\u00fcr WordPress<\/a> aufmerksam gemacht, und nachdem heute auch Perun seine Feeds dem Plugin anvertraut hatte<\/a>, habe ich das Teil nun auch mal installiert.<\/p>\n

Der Grund, dass ich bisher nicht mit Feedburner<\/a> gearbeitet hatte, lag schlicht und einfach darin, dass ich die Kontrolle \u00fcber die Feed-URL nicht verlieren wollte. Was, wenn Feedburner nicht erreichbar ist, kostenpflichtig wird etc.? Allen Lesern zumuten, die Feed-URL zu wechseln? Und wie teile ich das den RSS-Lesern mit, wenn Feedburner nicht erreichbar w\u00e4re? Fragen \u00fcber Fragen.
\nDas Feedburner Plugin l\u00f6st dies elegant, indem es via .htaccess eine kryptische URL erstellt, wo Feedburner in Zukunft den Feed abholt. Gleichzeitig werden Aufrufe der „normalen“ Feed-URL automatisch per Redirect an Feedburner weitergeleitet.<\/p>\n

Die Vorteile liegen auf der Hand: Der Leser muss sein Abonnement bzw. die Feed-URL nicht \u00e4ndern und man ist trotzdem nicht von Feedburner abh\u00e4ngig, denn mit dem Deaktivieren der Funktion kommt der Feed wieder direkt vom Blog, ohne dass der Leser etwas merkt. Sehr elegant gel\u00f6st.<\/p>\n

So ganz nebenbei hat die Sache auch noch den Effekt, dass man staunt, wieviele RSS-Leser man eigentlich hat. Aktuell behauptet Feedburner n\u00e4mlich, dass ich 225 Feed-Leser habe. Wenn die Z\u00e4hlerei denn stimmt…<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
