So langsam arbeitet sich Google Maps<\/a> in Richtung Schweiz vor. Bereits sind erste hochaufl\u00f6sende Satellitenfotos f\u00fcr Z\u00fcrich vorhanden. Den Rest der Schweiz gibts ebenfalls zu sehen, allerdings (noch) nicht mit hochaufl\u00f6senden Fotos.<\/p>\n

Interessant ist das Alter der Satellitenfotos. Sieht man sich zum Beispiel das im Herbst 2003 er\u00f6ffnete, neue Dock Midfield<\/a> des Z\u00fcrcher Flughafens<\/a> an, sieht man, dass dieses auf den Bildern noch in Bau ist. Somit sind die benutzten Bilder ca. 2 Jahre alt.<\/p>\n

Auch interessant, dass gerade Z\u00fcrich als erste Agglomeration der Schweiz mit hochaufl\u00f6senden Bildern bedient wird. Ob es wohl damit zusammenh\u00e4ngt, dass Google in Z\u00fcrich ein Entwicklungszentrum mit bald 150 Mitarbeitern betreibt?<\/p>\n
