Wie golem.de berichtet<\/a>, erkl\u00e4rt Sony BMG<\/a> auf Anfrage ihren Kunden, wie der MediaMaxx-Kopierschutz auf den eigenen CDs zu Umgehen ist.<\/p>\n

Bereits seit einigen Jahren verwendet Sony BMG den so genannten MediaMaxx-Kopierschutz des US-Anbieters SunnComm. Dieser Kopierschutz beruht darauf, dass die Kopierschutzsoftware \u00fcber die Auto-Run-Funktion des Windows-Betriebssystems aktiviert wird, sobald der Nutzer eine CD einlegt. Das bedeutet, dass auf Rechnern mit Apple- oder Linux-Betriebssystemen dieser Kopierschutz nicht wirksam wird. Auf Windows-Rechnern kann er umgangen werden, indem Nutzer die Auto-Run-Funktion deaktivieren, wie der Student Alex Halderman in einem Aufsehen erregenden Bericht bereits im Oktober 2003 demonstriert hatte. <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
