Nachdem die ersten zwei Werbespots der 300 Millionen Dollar-Werbekampagne eher f\u00fcr Verwirrung<\/a> sorgten, nimmt Microsoft nun Apples „I’m a Mac“-Kampagne auf und pr\u00e4sentiert seinen „PC-Mann“ zusammen mit weiteren „PCs“:<\/p>\n

<\/param><\/param><\/object><\/div>\n

Wer genau hinsieht, findet in der rechten unteren Ecke des Spots auch eMail-Adressen einiger gezeigter Mitarbeiter. Und wer eine eMail an eine dieser Adressen schreibt, kriegt auch Antwort. Zum Beispiel vom „Real PC“, Sean Siler:<\/p>\n

Hello! I\u2019m a PC \u2013 and I can\u2019t answer your email right now. I\u2019d like to say that I\u2019m out climbing Mt. Rainier or biking across Europe with the Swedish Beach Volleyball Team, but in fact I\u2019m probably just chained to a desk somewhere in the depths of Redmond pounding out product specifications.<\/p>\n

\nThis, as you have probably surmised, is my pre-prepared auto-response (All natural, no filler. No animals were harmed in the making of this response. Except for a ferret.) I really would like to have answered you myself, but if I did, (a) I\u2019d probably get no work done, and (b) then I\u2019d get fired, and (c) then I\u2019d have no chance of doing any more of those really awesome commercials.<\/p>\n

So let me try to prognosticate a few of your questions and answer a few of them.<\/p>\n

Why did they put you on TV?<\/p>\n

I think it\u2019s my devastating good-looks and animal magnetism. No, really \u2013 there\u2019s a ferret stuck to my leg right now.<\/p>\n

But really \u2013 you aren\u2019t even an actor!<\/p>\n

No I\u2019m not. But I play one on TV. I really am a Microsoft Program Manager. I work on IPv6, and other things that you haven\u2019t heard of.<\/p>\n

How did you get selected?<\/p>\n

I auditioned along with a couple of hundred others. I guess I looked very Engineery. And the ferret probably helped.<\/p>\n

Are you interested in more acting? <\/p>\n

Oh no, I think that Engineering is MUCH more fun. <\/p>\n

What\u2019s with Windows Vista?<\/p>\n

You\u2019ve been watching those commercials again, haven\u2019t you? Windows Vista rocks. Listen to real users, not actors.<\/p>\n
